Spraying the trail you see just scatters the colony — our New Lenox, IL technicians identify the species and bait to eliminate the source. A colony that seems to vanish overnight after a home spray often hasn't died at all — it's budded into two or three new colonies elsewhere in the structure. Most established ant problems involve more than the one visible trail you initially called about.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Our Specialized Ant Control in New Lenox, IL

Professional Ant Control technician working in New Lenox, IL

⚖

Species-Specific Identification

Correct treatment starts with correct ID; similar-looking species behave very differently.

📍

Fast New Lenox Dispatch

We prioritize dispatch whenever structural wood involvement is even a possibility.

💰

Clear, Upfront Pricing

Pricing is set after inspection and species ID, not billed by how many ants you counted. We also keep separate bait formulations stocked for protein, sugar, and grease preferences, since guessing wrong wastes a full bait cycle.

✅

Bait Station Equipment

Slow-acting gel and granular bait for colony transfer, plus perimeter barrier for long-term exclusion. We also document which trails led back to which harborage points, useful if a related colony resurfaces elsewhere later.

Service Solutions

Ant Control in New Lenox, IL: Comprehensive Solutions

24/7 Emergency Ant Control experts in New Lenox, IL

Carpenter Ant Elimination

Because these signal possible wood damage, we pair baiting with a check for hollow-sounding wood.

Odorous House Ant Treatment

These ants form interconnected satellite colonies — bait is formulated to transfer across the whole network.

Fire Ant Mound Treatment

Individual mound treatment combined with broadcast bait for yards with multiple active mounds.

Pavement Ant Perimeter Control

Pavement ants nest under slabs — treatment focuses on foundation-level entry points.

Interior Kitchen Trail Treatment

We match bait formulation — protein, sugar, or grease-based — to whichever species is confirmed. Satellite colonies can form in wall voids, under slabs, or inside landscaping timbers, so we check more than just the kitchen trail.

Seasonal Perimeter Prevention

Ongoing exterior barrier intercepts colonies before they establish trails indoors. We often suggest trimming vegetation touching the siding, since branches give ants an easy bridge past barrier treatment.

Turned out to be carpenter ants, not the odorous house ants we assumed. Glad they checked before spraying anything.

The kitchen counter trail disappeared within a week once they placed bait instead of just spraying it away.

FAQ

Ant Control Questions From New Lenox Customers

Trusted Ant Control service in New Lenox, IL - Nex Pest Control

Spraying the trail kills foragers but leaves the queen untouched, and can cause the colony to split and relocate.

They're larger than most household ants, often black or black-and-red, and you may notice small wood shavings near baseboards.

Colony elimination via bait typically takes one to two weeks as it spreads through the nest.

We typically combine spot mound treatment with a wider bait application.

Bait removes the existing colony, and ongoing perimeter service reduces the odds of a repeat. Seasonal exterior treatment is the most reliable way to prevent a fresh colony from moving in after the current one clears.

Bait sits in enclosed stations or protected areas specifically to limit pet and child access. It also helps to keep mulch pulled back from the foundation a few inches, since that alone reduces bridge points significantly.
