Artesia's Seasonal Barrier Treatment Team

Residual barrier typically holds about three weeks before new activity requires re-treatment.

Both — barrier spray handles adults while larvicide treats standing water we can't drain. A single missed water source nearby can shorten how long a barrier treatment stays effective, so we always ask about the whole surrounding area, not just the yard itself.

We use products labeled safe for treated areas once dry, and flag any specific concerns during scheduling.

Yes — we schedule timing a day or two before the event for maximum effect on the actual date.

Water features need a different approach — larvicide — because spray only affects adults, not larvae. A few landscaping adjustments between visits can meaningfully extend how long a barrier treatment stays effective.

Most Artesia properties do well on a 21-day cycle through the warm season, adjusted for rainfall. We recommend a yard check after heavy rain, since new standing water shows up in unexpected places.
