Spraying adults without treating standing water is a short-term fix — our Amherst, TX crew hits both the barrier and the breeding source. Beyond the itch, mosquitoes in much of Amherst, TX can carry West Nile virus, which is part of why source reduction matters as much as barrier spray. A single missed birdbath or clogged gutter section can undo much of what a barrier treatment accomplishes.

⚖

Licensed Abatement Technicians

Trained in vector biology and larvicide application, following state abatement guidelines — not just adult knockdown spray.

📍

Seasonal and Event Dispatch

Standing seasonal contract or a backyard event next weekend — Amherst scheduling handles both.

💰

Flat-Rate Seasonal Pricing

You'll know the full seasonal cost upfront, whether billed per visit or as a prepaid package. Backpack sprayers are calibrated to label rate before each job, since over-application wastes product without improving results.

✅

Misting & Larvicide Equipment

Backpack sprayers for barrier work, granular or briquette larvicide for standing water that can't be drained. We also check irrigation systems for leaks, since a slow drip in a garden bed is a surprisingly common overlooked breeding source.

Service Solutions

Mosquito Control in Amherst, TX: Comprehensive Solutions

24/7 Emergency Mosquito Control experts in Amherst, TX

Perimeter Barrier Spray

Residual spray on foliage, fence lines, and shaded resting spots where adults hide during the day.

Standing Water Audit

We walk the property finding gutters, birdbaths, tarps, and drainage holding the water mosquitoes need.

Larvicide for Untreatable Water

Ponds and drainage that can't be removed get larvicide instead of spray, stopping larvae before adulthood.

Seasonal Recurring Program

Treatment every 21 days through peak season keeps the barrier effective as new mosquitoes migrate in.

One-Time Event Treatment

Rapid backyard treatment timed ahead of a wedding, graduation, or party. Wooded or heavily shaded properties often need a slightly adjusted spray pattern to reach resting sites under dense canopy.

Combination Tick Treatment

Many Amherst customers combine mosquito and tick treatment in one visit for full yard coverage. We recommend a quick yard check after heavy rain, since new standing water appears in places that were dry all season.

FAQ

Mosquito Control Questions From Amherst Customers

Trusted Mosquito Control service in Amherst, TX - Nex Pest Control

Residual barrier typically holds about three weeks before new activity requires re-treatment.

A complete job includes both perimeter spray and treatment of any breeding sources found. Effectiveness depends on more than just your own property, which is why we ask about neighboring water sources during the initial call.

We use products labeled safe for treated areas once dry, and flag any specific concerns during scheduling.

Yes — we schedule timing a day or two before the event for maximum effect on the actual date.

Water features need a different approach — larvicide — because spray only affects adults, not larvae. We can also advise on simple landscaping changes — trimming dense shrubs, thinning standing vegetation — that reduce resting habitat between visits.

Most Amherst properties do well on a 21-day cycle through the warm season, adjusted for rainfall. We recommend a yard check after heavy rain, since new standing water shows up in unexpected places.

Amherst is a city in Lamb County, Texas, United States. The population was 721 at the 2010 census.
