A trap catches what's already inside; a sealed gap is what stops the next one from moving in — our Sitka, AK crew does both in one visit. Beyond droppings and noise, chewed insulation and wiring are real risks we flag on every inspection. A single missed gap can undo weeks of otherwise successful trapping and sealing work.
Our team treats this as construction work as much as pest control — hardware cloth, sealant, door sweeps, not just bait.
We move quickly on new reports in Sitka, since delay usually just means a bigger job later.
Inspection sets one number covering both trap placement and exclusion work — no separate invoice for each.
Snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal imaging for nest zones, and sanitation gear for the cleanup after. Each job comes with before-and-after photos of the sealed gaps.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we work the foundation perimeter and deck footings, not just the attic.
Roof rats travel power lines and branches into attics — we seal soffits and roofline gaps specifically.
Mice need only a quarter-inch opening, so we check utility penetrations and door sweeps closely.
Contaminated insulation and droppings get removed and the space sanitized once trapping wraps up.
Hardware cloth, sweeps, and vent screens go in to physically block re-entry — not a temporary patch.
Scheduled station checks with logged records for property managers who need documentation on file. A seasonal walk-around of the foundation catches new gaps that open after freeze-thaw cycles.
Tell us where you're hearing it — attic, wall, kitchen — and whether you've seen droppings or gnaw marks.
The technician shows up with both trapping and sealing supplies loaded, ready to handle it in one visit.
Inspection identifies both species and access points — foundation to roofline — before we quote anything.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented recheck — not just traps left behind.
Months of store-bought traps got us nowhere. Technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger in twenty minutes.
Roof rats in the attic for weeks. Three roofline gaps sealed and the noise stopped within days.
We manage six buildings — they service all of them on a schedule and send logs I can hand to ownership.
Appreciated them explaining rat versus mouse signs before quoting anything. Didn't feel like a guessing game.
Two units in our building had chewed wiring behind the stove. Exclusion work solved it and our electrician confirmed no further risk.
Coverage includes Sitka and the surrounding region, weighted toward the property types that see the most rodent pressure. We track seasonal rodent migration patterns around Sitka to anticipate calls before they spike. We also keep records of prior exclusion work at a property, which speeds up diagnosis if a new gap opens up in a different spot later.
Gnaw-mark size and dropping shape usually settle it, and the technician confirms on inspection. A full inspection covers roofline and chimney access alongside the foundation, since rodents use whichever gap is easiest.
Yes — trapping clears what's inside now, but sealing is what keeps the next one from moving in. We'd rather take the extra time to seal every gap properly than leave one open and get a callback in a few months.
Dry sweeping can release airborne particles, so it's safer to leave cleanup to the visit.
A typical job is a single day plus a short recheck window.
We lean on traps and exclusion before rodenticide in most residential jobs.
Easy food access, standing water, clutter, and unsealed foundation gaps are the usual suspects. It's worth checking your attic access panel periodically, since that's a common secondary entry point we find at follow-ups.
Trapping and sealing in the same visit beats a cycle of traps that never quite finish the job.
