A trap catches what's already inside; a sealed gap is what stops the next one from moving in — our Yalaha, FL crew does both in one visit. Beyond droppings and noise, chewed insulation and wiring are real risks we flag on every inspection. A single missed gap can undo weeks of otherwise successful trapping and sealing work.
Sealing a quarter-inch gap takes different training than setting a trap, and that's specifically what our technicians do.
We move quickly on new reports in Yalaha, since delay usually just means a bigger job later.
You'll know the full cost before anything's installed, priced off what the inspection actually finds.
Snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal imaging for nest zones, and sanitation gear for the cleanup after. We also photograph every sealed entry point before and after, so you have documentation of the exclusion work done.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we work the foundation perimeter and deck footings, not just the attic.
Attic access almost always traces back to a roofline or eave gap, which is where sealing starts.
A mouse job lives or dies on finding every small gap — one missed opening undoes the rest.
Cleanup follows industry biohazard handling standards, not a quick vacuum and call it done.
Hardware cloth, sweeps, and vent screens go in to physically block re-entry — not a temporary patch.
Recurring service for multi-unit properties comes with a written check-in schedule, not an occasional drive-by. We also check attic access panels and garage door seals, since those are common secondary entry points during follow-ups.
Tell us where you're hearing it — attic, wall, kitchen — and whether you've seen droppings or gnaw marks.
The technician shows up with both trapping and sealing supplies loaded, ready to handle it in one visit.
Inspection identifies both species and access points — foundation to roofline — before we quote anything.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented recheck — not just traps left behind.
Months of store-bought traps got us nowhere. Technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger in twenty minutes.
Roof rats in the attic for weeks. Three roofline gaps sealed and the noise stopped within days.
We manage six buildings — they service all of them on a schedule and send logs I can hand to ownership.
Appreciated them explaining rat versus mouse signs before quoting anything. Didn't feel like a guessing game.
Two units in our building had chewed wiring behind the stove. Exclusion work solved it and our electrician confirmed no further risk.
Coverage includes Yalaha and the surrounding region, weighted toward the property types that see the most rodent pressure. Properties near open fields or construction sites in Yalaha tend to see rodent pressure spike seasonally, which shapes our routing. A documented history of past sealing work helps the next technician quickly rule out already-addressed entry points.
Rat droppings run larger, roughly rice-grain size or bigger; mouse droppings are smaller and more pointed, and noise timing differs too. We also inspect the roofline and chimney area during a standard visit, since those are entry points homeowners rarely think to check themselves.
Yes — trapping clears what's inside now, but sealing is what keeps the next one from moving in. We'd rather take the extra time to seal every gap properly than leave one open and get a callback in a few months.
Dry sweeping can release airborne particles, so it's safer to leave cleanup to the visit.
A typical job is a single day plus a short recheck window.
We lean on traps and exclusion before rodenticide in most residential jobs.
Easy food access, standing water, clutter, and unsealed foundation gaps are the usual suspects. We recommend a seasonal walk-around of the foundation, since freeze-thaw cycles can open new gaps.
