A trap catches what's already inside; a sealed gap is what stops the next one from moving in — our Mount Carmel, TN crew does both in one visit. Beyond droppings and noise, chewed insulation and wiring are real risks we flag on every inspection. A single missed gap can undo weeks of otherwise successful trapping and sealing work.
Our team treats this as construction work as much as pest control — hardware cloth, sealant, door sweeps, not just bait.
We move quickly on new reports in Mount Carmel, since delay usually just means a bigger job later.
You'll know the full cost before anything's installed, priced off what the inspection actually finds.
Snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal imaging for nest zones, and sanitation gear for the cleanup after. Each job comes with before-and-after photos of the sealed gaps.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we work the foundation perimeter and deck footings, not just the attic.
Attic access almost always traces back to a roofline or eave gap, which is where sealing starts.
Mice need only a quarter-inch opening, so we check utility penetrations and door sweeps closely.
Contaminated insulation and droppings get removed and the space sanitized once trapping wraps up.
Exclusion means a barrier the animal can't simply chew back through.
Scheduled station checks with logged records for property managers who need documentation on file. We also check attic access panels and garage door seals, since those are common secondary entry points during follow-ups.
A quick description of the noise and location shapes which trap and sealing materials we bring.
The technician shows up with both trapping and sealing supplies loaded, ready to handle it in one visit.
Inspection identifies both species and access points — foundation to roofline — before we quote anything.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented recheck — not just traps left behind.
Months of store-bought traps got us nowhere. Technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger in twenty minutes.
Roof rats in the attic for weeks. Three roofline gaps sealed and the noise stopped within days.
We manage six buildings — they service all of them on a schedule and send logs I can hand to ownership.
Appreciated them explaining rat versus mouse signs before quoting anything. Didn't feel like a guessing game.
Two units in our building had chewed wiring behind the stove. Exclusion work solved it and our electrician confirmed no further risk.
We dispatch across Mount Carmel and nearby Mount Carmel, TN areas, with priority routing toward older homes and properties bordering open lots. Properties near open fields or construction sites in Mount Carmel tend to see rodent pressure spike seasonally, which shapes our routing. A documented history of past sealing work helps the next technician quickly rule out already-addressed entry points.
Rat droppings run larger, roughly rice-grain size or bigger; mouse droppings are smaller and more pointed, and noise timing differs too. A full inspection covers roofline and chimney access alongside the foundation, since rodents use whichever gap is easiest.
Exclusion is the permanent piece; trapping without it just resets the clock. We'd rather take the extra time to seal every gap properly than leave one open and get a callback in a few months.
Dry sweeping can release airborne particles, so it's safer to leave cleanup to the visit.
A typical job is a single day plus a short recheck window.
We lean on traps and exclusion before rodenticide in most residential jobs.
Easy food access, standing water, clutter, and unsealed foundation gaps are the usual suspects. We recommend a seasonal walk-around of the foundation, since freeze-thaw cycles can open new gaps.
